Amazon Kindle 2

Okay, so apparently I missed the boat on the first one of these things, but I recently checked out the information on the newest version: the Amazon Kindle 2. For those of you that don't know...it is the coolest thing! I am completely smitten with it!

As you know, I LOVE books. In fact, Kenric and I both love books so much that we nearly exceeded our shipping weight and are considering how we can bear to get rid of any of them for our future moves. So, this little invention by Amazon is great. Basically, it gives access to over 230,000 books on a thin, easy to see, non-eye-straining device that you can take and view anywhere!

Apparently, you can also subscribe to popular magazines, newspapers and blogs through it, too. That's great for those like my hubby who read the paper every day.

So, I checked out the link to the Amazon Kindle Bookstore just to see the kind of things they offer and the prices and I am ready to pick up the credit card and get this thing now! For instance, Twilight...you know we love it...would cost $6.04 to download. It takes less than 60 seconds and it is there forever! You always have that book in the same easy-to-access place that you can store 1,499 more books! And it weighs the same as a single paperback.

I would suggest that anyone who likes to read, doesn't particularly care to read on the computer, and loves a large selection of books at their fingertips check this thing out.




It is worth looking into the product details to see for yourself. I think I'm getting it. Yeah...pretty darn sure about that.
